An Evening With Billy Collins

Thursday, January 30 at 7:30 pm

Headlining the Friends of the Music and the Arts season will be an appearance by Billy Collins, past Poet Laureate of the United States and recipient of numerous awards and honors. Called the “most popular poet in America” by the New York Times, his numerous collections of poetry have become bestsellers. Mr. Collins — who has never appeared in Knoxville before — will read from his work, including from a collection to be published in November entitled Water, Water (which will be available that evening for purchase). As Mr. Collins is truly a national treasure, you will not want to tarry in procuring a ticket to hear him.

Journeys of Healing

and Reconciliation

Sundays at 9:15am in the Parish Hall.
The adult education Sunday school series begins September 15. The theme for this semester’s topic is called, Journeys of Healing and Reconciliation. Small groups will gather in the parish hall from 9:15 until 10:15. Each session begins with a moment of prayer, followed by a meditation written by a clergy person tied with Scripture. After a moment of silence, a group discussion commences. No preparation or registration is needed before attending a class. All are welcome. For more information, please contact Fr.
