Parish Choir

The Parish Choir is composed of amateur and professional singers devoted to leading congregational praise.  The choir's repertoire is grounded in the Episcopal choral tradition but incorporates other styles and idioms as the occasion warrants.

Along with the Sunday morning services throughout the year, the choir performs special music for the seasons of Advent and the Epiphany.  In Lent, Holy Week entails sung services for Tenebrae, Maundy Thursday, and Good Friday, culminating in the Great Vigil.  Easter Day services are augmented with brass quintet, as they are on Christmas eve.  In addition to the occasional choral evensong, the choir sings an annual choir concert with orchestra.

Parish Choir rehearsals take place Wednesday evenings from 7 to 9 pm with choir warmup scheduled Sunday mornings at 9:30 am.  It is open to all by audition.  For more information, our choir director, Jim Garvey, 588-0589, ext. 216.
